F1 Series Race 2
The second round of the F1Series 27 takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit in the 2013 RB9 – one of the most dominant cars on one of Formula 1’s most varied circuits of the 2010s.
About this event
The Shanghai International Circuit is notorious for the two snail-like bends after the start/finish line and before the long back straight in the final sector. Tyre management will therefore be crucial. At the same time, there is no room for a lapse in concentration, neither in the many long bends nor in the fast ones. A virtual race in Shanghai is a real test of skill – and tyre management – for all esports competitors.
Most races of the 2010s generation there resulted in very dynamic and, at times, unpredictable race developments. In 2012, Shanghai witnessed the first victory for Nico Rosberg and the modern Mercedes team. Could it perhaps be the venue for a new first-time winner in F1Series 27?
The car for this race, the RB9, features extra KERS power on every lap as well as DRS. Both must be used carefully and judiciously to achieve the ideal lap time – whilst at the same time they can facilitate aggressive or defensive manoeuvres during the race. We’re looking forward to this race on 24 January 2027.
